Some Summer Fun

Last monday, I went to Elich Gardens (Six Flags in Colorado) and Kasey (my cousin who is pretty close in age w/ me and is one of my good buddies), Christopher, Courtney (another cousin who's Christopher's age), Grandma, Grandpa, and my Dad joined me. It was a blast and I was actually brave that day. I went on quite a few rides that I would never have gone on before. It was quite amazing and I had a blast. I was so glad that Grandma and Grandpa took us there, also because Grandma always is prepared. She brought a lunch and drinks and she also brought swimming clothes, and clothes to change into. After that, Dad, Courtney, and Christopher dropped me and Kasey off at her house to spend the night there where we joined Corrie (one of Kasey's good friends, who I'm good friends with now).

Kim, (one of Kasey and Courtney's parent's good friends) woke Kasey, Corrie, and me up early that morning to head down to the church so we could head off to camp. (Girl's Camp) I joined my two Aunts, my cousin Kasey, and my new friend Corrie, along w/ 147 other girls at camp. We walked around 5 to 10 miles each day and had 3 meals a day. It was hot so we drank tons and tons of water to stay healthy and hydrated. We slept in tents on cots and there were many little creatures (and not so little ones) that visited us in the night-time. Since we are in Colorado, we camped in the mountains... which means a few things.
1. Bears
Black Bears kept joining us in our campsites during the night. On Tuesday night, (my first night there) I woke up at 3 a.m. to the sound of one of the little first-years shouting at the bear to leave. She is quite a shy young girl, so I thought it might be someone else since the young woman who was yelling at the bear had such an attitude. I was very proud to sleep about 3 or 4 tents down from her, with one of her older sisters' as my tent-partner. The bear defanetly didn't come back again that night, although it did join us plenty the next few nights. I heard that one of the girls at camp woke up to experience a baby cub sniffing her hair on the very first night. The bears also broke into a few cars and got a ton of sweets.
2. Chipmunks
Chipmunks were everywhere! They even joined a few of my new friends in their tent on the first night. They crawled up Emma's leg because she had spilt some food on her lap. I liked the little chipmunks though, for some reason they comforted me. On the last day, Kasey, Corrie, and I were examaning a few and there was a fat one, and a skinny one. We named the fat one Chip, and the skinny one Dale. We could tell every time they came by us, because they each had a certain look, and a very distinct personality.
3. Actual Rock Climing
I got to climb up real mountain rocks on our rock-climbing event. Even though I was somewhat scared, I climbed to the top and had a blast. When I was coming down, I accidentally scraped my hand on some of the rocks and started to bleed, but I just called the scrapes my battle-scars. I also got to watch my Aunt Brenda and Aunt Debbie climb up some more difficult courses. They were much more experienced and had a blast. They were some of the camp leaders up there, in fact... my Aunt Debbie was the camp president for that week and she was the one who had invited me to come w/ them.
4. Just a great time
I had so many more activities that filled my days and they were all extremely fun. Including Conservation, it was where we did kind of a service-project for the camp we stayed at. We helped pick up and haul heavy logs to a truck where they took them somewhere to be used for the camp. They use all of their own wood, so that made me appreciate that we were directly helping the camp. It was also the very first time that sweat trickled down my face, I used to think only boys' sweat would slide down and that mine would just stay at the top of my face, but I proved myself wrong that day. I also got to shoot rifles, I missed the target every time... but I was somewhat glad to find out that I wasn't as bad as some other girls. One of the girls in the group right before me had shot a chipmunk and killed it, I feel bad for both of them... poor chipmunk. But I can say that in Archery I was quite skilled, since on one of my very first tries I hit the bull's eye. I also learned a few new dances, one of them, my cousin Kasey and I showed to my dad the day after we got back from camp. I'm not quite sure what he thought of it, but by the look on his face.. he was amuzed.

Yesterday, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Debbie, Kasey, Christopher, Courtney, Aly, Michael, and I went to the aquarium. (Aly and Michael are also some cousins of mine) We had a blast, and I got to pet a few stingrays. We also got to see the people feed the sharks, and they got up close to the tank so we could see the dead fish-heads sticking out of their sharp mouths.

Tonight, My Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Mike are bringing all of their family to Cinzettis, where Grandma, Grandpa, Christopher, and I will meet up with them for a fun buffet of food. They have some delicious Ittalian food and it's an all-you-can-eat buffet.

This weekend, all of the people that I listed as going to Cinzettis, will be going to Wyoming to camp at a place called Glendo. There's a great campsite there around a lake, and by the lake there are some cliffs. We're going to go kneeboarding, tubing...etc. in the water, and out of the water, we will go up the cliffs, and jump off of them into the lake. Some of them I've heard are quite high up.

Next week, we are going to have a few more activities planned also before we leave. Although I'm not looking forward to leaving and going back to school... it will be nice to be back home and with my family and birdies, room, and friends.

Well... since I'm pretty sure that my mom is one of the very.... VERY few readers of my blog (which I don't blame people for not reading) I just wanted to say "hi", "bye" and "I love you!"

♥Lindsey♥

Colorado is...

m-azing (like the candy bar). This post is for my wonderful mom, and I just wanted to say "hi." My little brother is getting sort of homesick, so I'm trying to keep him going w/ fun activities and other thoughts. oh... well, Grandma is kicking us off of the computer. So I'm going to post another blog later. Love you mom!

Thinking of Ideas...

I'm trying to come up with ideas for a good short film. I'm stumped... I guess I have writers' block. I'm kind of bored right now. Oh well... In a way, I'm not. I'm thinking of ideas for my short video/movie thing... Wish me luck, okay? :D Thanks!

Recent Events

The past two weeks, I've been gone. In fact, I just got home at about 2 pm today. Last week, I went to a Mormon camp for boys and girls called efy (especially for youth). It was wonderful, and I had a blast, being my 3rd year to go to that particular camp. My best friend Mindi accompanied me there, and we had the time of our lives. We even both picked up a c.o.w. (Crush of the week). They were all pretty cute might I add. This week, I went to Girls' Camp (also a Mormon camp, just without the boys). It was incredible! I loved it, and made a bunch of new friends, and strengthened old friendships too. I was exhausted this whole week, but it was worth it. It was sad leaving this morning, as well as nice to be home again. Sadly, soon after I got home... my dad left for the airport to leave for Colorado. It's hard to believe this, but in about 13 days, on July 26... I will be 16! I'm super excited to turn 16, for many reasons... such as being able to date, being able to drive w/ a license (once I finish my driving hours), and just being that age is exciting. Well, I'm waiting for my mom to come watch a chick-flick with me right now, So... I'm going to go. Bye!

So...

This summer has been really great so far. In fact, this Tuesday, I got my braces off. I have two retainers now, and the top on is zebra-stripes and the white stripes glow in the dark. It's pretty awesome! :D I'm so happy!
Late on Friday night, Mindi (my best friend from Colorado) will be arriving! We are both super excited for her to come out here. This will be her second time to visit me in Texas, but her first time alone. I'm counting down the days on my calender.
Tomorrow, is my dad's birthday! I won't say what age, but I'm excited for it. My mom bought him a plane ticket to fly out w/ my brother and me on July 28. We will be going to Colorado that week to spend time w/ family and friends.
I'm also excited because this is my last week of summer school. I had to retake the Chemistry part of Integrated Physics and Chemistry. I think it's a very challenging subject.
Well.... I should probably get to sleep really soon.

Sleepy

Last night, Brooks, Christopher, and I hung out. We jumped on the tramp, hit rocks w/ hammers, and told scary stories. So I had to watch a lot of funny cartoons to get it off my mind before I could sleep again. Well, I'm really tired, and I have to make a cute hat for my dear madré. Ha ha... cool accent right? It's amazing. well... i gtg. Bye!

1 fish 2 fish, red fish blue fish

Yesterday at the Luau, Christopher brought home two little goldfish. They had been placed in extremely cold water though, so one of them died before he got to name it. The other one, he named Tiki, and it's really pretty. He gave it to Brooks, our really good friend, and next door neighbor. He has an aquarium, and so Christopher thinks that he can take much better care of Tiki than he can. We feel really bad though, because when we went over to his house to drop off the little goldfish, Brooks was still sound asleep, and his dad tried to wake him up. It didn't work, so I felt better that we didn't wake him up.

Fun in the Sun

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a LLOONNGG time. I've been totally pre-occupied w/ school, seminary, mutual, piano, homework, helping around the house... etc. Today was very busy, and I had a blast. I went to bed pretty late from working on a school music video project for Theatre, so I woke up pretty late too. I got up around 10:40, ate breakfast until about 11. Then I took a shower and fixed my hair until about 12. Then we (my family and I) instantly left for a play. My dad played the piano for it, and I was asked to help keep things going (about 15 minutes before the play started), and to help the little kids know when to go on. After the play was over, we went straight to a Luau party and I got to hang out with friends, and ride boats around Lake Travis. I stayed later than my family, and found a ride home with some friends. When I got home, my dad was leaving for a wedding reception that my family had been planning to go to, so I went with him and met my mom there. I hung out with a few friends and had some yummy cake. I stayed later there too, and helped clean up, and some friends brought me home. So, I'm VERY tired right now. I think that I should go to bed pretty soon. Bye!

Icy Day in Tx? Wow.....

Hey everyone...
Today is very cold here... It snowed for a few minutes, it hailed. And since it's been so rainy lately... It's frozen over. I've been outside a few times with my little brother, and it's been really fun. I almost fell not too long ago, on one of our little adventures outside. It was really fun, we could even see Christopher's breath through his scarf, which covered his mouth. It's been really fun today, since we have the day off for holiday. My dad didn't get as lucky though... he's at work right now. But before he left, he got to see some of my sweet skills at D.D.R. (Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2) And he also stopped by my brother's room to see some of his sweet skills on this online computer game called 'Guild Wars'. He also stopped by my mom's room to say goodbye to her. Poor thing, she's been sick lately, I even got sick a little. Our throats are soar, and she's been coffing up a storm. She was really nice to wake up and make us some delicious Dutch Hot Chocolate (hot chocolate, made with Dutch Chocolate.) I've lately had an obssession with the song 'Carry On Wayward Son' by 'Kansas.' I really love this song, it's soooooo awesome!
Well, my brother's talking to me, so I think I have to go now. Thanks for everything!

I also enjoy my new Gel pens, my D.D.R. mats, my Napoleon Dynamite Action Figure, all my new jewelry, my new pj's, and my big new stuffed animal bear. I named it Cocoa, it's so soft, and fuzzy and warm. It's awesome... everything's awesome. Well... sorry for updating this late. I wrote most of this on the very last day of 2006. bored out of my mind i guess...

Hey everyone!
Okay... so I haven't really been all that "dedicated" to my blog lately....... okay, maybe not for a long time. So? I've been extreemly busy with TONS of stuff, so sorry. Guess what? I'm getting my drivers' permit this week. I can't wait for Christmas, I also can't wait for spring break... since I'll get to go skiing on the snowy peaks of Colorado. I love ipods... and D.D.R. it's awesome... i'm hoping to get new D.D.R. mats for Christmas, since mine broke. It'd be really fun to learn how to play the drums. That's what I think anyway... Drums, and Guitar. That'd be really cool. I never noticed how much I love the breed of dog called Shitzus (don't know if i spelled that right) until, I saw an adorible one. Her name is Sadie, and she's my friends dog, she's SUPER adorible. Oh my gosh... my back really hurts. I wonder when my family's going to go see the Trail of Lights. That'll be really fun, and I can't wait. Tonight we had a really good dinner out at this new Mexican resteraunt. I can't really remember the name of the resteraunt right now... but I know it starts with an S. My mom will probably post about it on her blog. She's better at keeping up with it than I am. Well... i guess you guys are bored of my blog right now... but that's okay, because I am too. Bye!

Sorry about Yesterday's Blog.

Hey Everyone...
Just like the title says... I'm sorry about my blog from yesterday. I was being a cry-baby, and I was being rude to everyone in my family... and I feel really bad. I can get a little cranky sometimes. I started crying though yesterday, because I guess I just needed a hug. Oh well, that's the past. Today I'm off to a great start! ^_^ Right now I'm listening to Some of "Tsubasa Chronicles" songs. They're so awesome! ^_^ I love all of the music on T.C. It's so great! I finally got my schedule, and It seems to be very confusing! AHHH... oh well, anyway... I guess I'll write more later. Bye!

They are all so adorible! Anyway... my brother, mom, and I were wanting to make pie today, but we didn't have all of the ingreediants, so my mom made cookies! Speaking of cookies... this is really funny! I love it! The picture says (if you can't read all of it) "Come to the Dark Side... We have cookies." I know... isn't it great? I love it! lol. Okay... I just tried to twice, but It won't let me! So, I'll upload the picture tomorrow! Well, I gotta go! Bye!

I'm Eating Pizza Right Now. lol.

Today, I woke up and checked my email. Then, I ate breakfast downstairs. Then, I cleaned and organized my room, and I cleaned the Gameroom, and also my brother's room. Inbetween those, I had a smoothie, and lunch, it was really good. I also went outside to play with my brother. I was rollerblading, and he was on his scooter. We had a blast, it was really hot though, so we came back inside. Then, we drew some pictures, I tought him how to do the "bunny hop" and we listened to music. Then, I got on the computer, and now he's on his computer too. Anyway... I thought that I would just update what I've been doing on to the computer. Anyway... I guess I'll write more later! Bye!

New Shoes and Stuff...

Hey!
I'm sorry that I didn't write yesterday! But I have sooo much to talk about! Ok, on Thursday, I went to go see a play. It was called 7 brides for 7 brothers, and I got to hang out with some of my friends, and that was really fun. On Friday, I just kinda hung out at my house. On Saturday, I got to go to Subway for lunch, and then I got a manicure. After a while, my mom took me on complete shopping spree! I got a lot of really cute new clothes, and even a pair of All Star shoes, they're pink! On Sunday, I gave a talk in church... I wrote it all by myself! ^_^ lol. Today, I woke up, and I just got back from a babysitting job. It was really fun, the kids are just soo cute! I'm listening to a really good song right now... It's a remix, but the song's name is "Everytime We Touch" It's the ending song on the movie "The Titanic." I like both versions, but I think I like the slow song better than the remix. Oh, now I'm listening to "Starry Eyed Surprise" From the Pepsi commercial. I've been emailing a lot recently, I guess I just have too much time on my hands... but oh well. Anyway... I'll talk to you later! Bye!

Learning Japanese With Lindsey

Hey Everyone! I just got done watching some "Tsubasa Chronicles" *sigh* I'm really anxious for the next ones to come out! It just keeps getting more interesting. In one of the episodes I watched... there was a really good quote, so I wrote it down.
"Those with a strong desire don't care about themselves until they've fulfilled that desire. That is why they are strong." - Ashiru
Isn't that sooo cool! kacoii! (cool in Japanese) Anata tachi kawaii desu! (means- "you guys look cute!" In Japanese) See, I think I'm starting to get better at it already! ^_^ Ok, I want to take a shower and stuff, but I don't know if my parents are awake yet or not... I guess I'll go check. (my parents were watching a movie last night pretty late, so they might still be worn out) Ok, talk to you later!

Waking up Early

Hey Everyone! I can't belive that I just atomatically woke up a few minutes ago. I went to sleep at about 2 in the morning... and I just woke up at about 8:30. I have that annoying clear stuff in my eyes that makes it hard to see, so I'm trying to get rid of it by blinking. I'm still just a little bit tired, but I don't think I could go back to sleep if I tried to. Well, I'm really tired, so I don't really know what to say... I guess I'll just get on and post another later.

My Thoughts for a Little Bit

Hey everybody! I think I've pretty much gotten over my mom not taking me shopping today! Because I know that she'll take me shopping tomorrow! I'm soooo excited. For my birtday on Wednesday, I got a bunch of awesome stuff, like Japanese stuff, and a calendar that I'll use until December 07! It's soooo cute too! Today I found my rock collection that I've been looking for for a long time! I just watched "That's so Suite Life of Hanna Montana" I've been waiting for it to come out for 2 weeks... and I finally got to watch it! I'm soooo happy! Anyway... I'm really into this Japanese T.V. show, and I can't wait to see the next few episodes! I'm soooo anxious, wow... I'm tired, hyper, happy, excited, anxious, and nervous all at once! lol. I'm really nervous, I've been trying to contact one of my friends all day to see if something really happened... or if it was just in my dream last night. My braces are really starting to annoy me right now, because I just got them tightened on Wed. (my b-day) and so they're adjusting a lot, and they're digging into my lips, and just scratching up my whole mouth. Earlier, I let my parents read my blog... like a few hours ago, and my mom was making fun of my spelling, and laughing at how random I got.. like I would say something that just popped into my head. My dad was pretending to immitate me, and he said "Hey, there's a fly on the wall, it has nice ankles..." and it was really funny. For some reason, I just had the taste of pancakes in my mouth. I don't want pancakes right now... Ok, well... I'm gonna go bug my brother now! lol... ttyl!
-Lindsey-

Waiting...

Hey! Look! The Penguins' are rushing to come meet my dad! Because guess what! He's home now! YAY! My Dad's home now, I'm so glad he's back! But I'm also kinda depressed since I've been looking forward to going shopping all day, and now my mom's too tired to. *sigh* The reason I really wanted to go shopping on friday instead of saturday... is because there aren't as many people at the mall on friday. I don't really like it when it's crowded, so I wanted to go today. Well, maybe I can convince her to go shopping tonight... I'll post more later! Bye!
