New Entertainment...

So, my mom's been wanting me to be a better blogger, such as update my blog more often. I think that will be more possible when it's summer time. But I will try to keep up with that, sorry mom.

Anyway...on another topic, remember my youtube video? I have 3 others now, but I think some of them are better than others. Such as, the new ones are better than the first with the singing. You should go check them out, all you have to do is go to youtube.com , and then type in ninnies2 in the search box.

A new screen with 4 videos will show up, including: "Learn How to Sing", "Cheese Video", "Oxi-Sue", and "Teleporting". They are all done by me, and I haven't told anyone but my parents that they're on youtube now. SO...In conclusion....you should go check them out! Thanks!

Convincing words, or pretty pictures

Twilight, is one of the best books ever written. I read it last year, and today, I bought the first and second book, since I already owned the third one.
Besides, I want my mom to read this book series with me, so i can have her insight. I found that I enjoyed these books more than Harry Potter, which up until I read Twilight, was pretty much the only book that I willingly read.
Compared to Harry Potter, I prefer Twilight now. And the next book is coming out on August 2nd. I'm not sure when the movie's coming out, but I'm sure it won't be nearly as good as the book is.
The book is the most amazing thing ever written. And I'm sure that when I see the movie, I will be very dissapointed, along with my friends who are fans, and all of the other fans in the world.

For Books, I give this a 10 out of 5. If someone asked, I would definately recommend reading this wonderful book series.

and a spoon full of thoughtfulness...

My friends are amazing. I'm so glad I have so many really good friends. I was thinking about it, and here are just some close friends (only in Texas) of mine that I wrote about. They are in no particular order, but here are some of my closest friends in Texas.

Becca- She's really fun to joke around with, and one of the best shoppers. She likes quite a bit of the same music as me, and I love to hang out with her.

Melanie- She's fun, and energetic. But she can also be very serious, and caring. She's really easy to talk to, and is very entertaining.

Geoff- He's really funny, and I've known him since 7th grade. It's always fun to hang out, and talk with him, and he can make me laugh even when I'm sad. He also has good handwriting.

Josh- Also very funny, he's really fun to talk to. Has really good ideas, but sometimes doesn't make any sense. He can make me happy when I'm sad, or mad. He is very interesting to try and guess what's going on in his head, and he's always coming up with new ideas.

Scott- he's really thoughtful, always reading books, has clever ideas. He's good at video games, and he can be funny if he wants to be, and he smiles and is nice to most people. He's also a very good artist.

Sujay- One of the greatest guys you'll ever meet. He tries to be gangsta, and kind of succeeds. He likes to tease me, and keeps me entertained. He's fun to talk to, and he has a good sense of humor. He eats and drinks tons of sugar, yet he's still very skinny.

Corey- Just moved here from New York, yet he's already one of my best buddies. He's very fun to talk to, and he makes me laugh. He's very smart, and he helps me with spanish. He has a good taste in music, and he also tries to be gangsta.

Vinny- He is one of the nicest guys I know, and one of the most sociable. He wants to be an excellent fighter when he grows up, and I believe he will be. He always says hi to me, and makes me feel better when I'm sad.

Lucas- He's very nice, and funny. It's fun to talk to him, and he always makes me laugh. He's very smart, and is a deep thinker. He is a good artist, and very sociable. He's really sweet, and knows when to be serious. He's also very strong since he has to throw rifles around for ROTC.

Craig- He's really nice, and I can joke around with him, and he laughs about it. He's really easy to talk to, and he cares about others. He can make me laugh, but he also can bring out the really serious side of me.

Gus- He's very funny, and nice. He can be kind of shy at times, but very clever. He's good at cheering people up, and he's pretty strong.

Alex- She's been one of my greatest friends since the 6th grade, when we first met. She's very nice to everyone, and I can tell her anything. She has a good taste in music, and always knows what to say.

Gretchen-She's really sweet, and funny. We can talk very easily, and love to joke around. She's very kind, and she's a very hard worker. She likes the same kind of music that I like, and she shares other interests with me too. She has a nice smile, and she brightens the room up when she walks in.

Bekah-She's always sweet to me in math, and I like to joke around with her. She is very kind, and we gang up on Tyler because he's mean to us. She's nice to talk to, and can make me laugh.

Mariah Carey

So, today at 1, my mom's going to pick me up to take me to go get an MRI for my knees. We're going to find out what I have to do to fix my knees. Anyway, the reason for the title, is, yesterday my dad kept calling it a MRI Carey. I don't know if I spelled her name right, but I think that it's hilarious! lol. Anyway, I woke up early today, and I still have to get ready a little more for school. So I'm going to go now. bye!

Grab some popcorn!

Last night I went to see "Meet The Spartans" in the movie theatres with some friends. It started at 7pm, and It was pretty funny. Even though it was very cheesy, I thought it was pretty good.

But I didn't just see that movie. I also watched the movie "Hairspray" I've been wanting to watch it for a while now. I thought it was very cute, and I really enjoyed it, even though I was barely awake by the time the movie was over.

Hit the Refresh button silly!

I haven't updated in a while...so I decided to do it now, while I'm thinking of what to do for homework. :P

So lately quite a lot has happened. Not this sunday, but Sunday the 13th, I was running the track, and my knee popped out of its socket. Luckily my brother and mom were there with me. I was lying on the ground screaming my head off, while my mom called my Aunt Debbie, who's a physical therapist. My Aunt told my mom what to do, and that she had to push my knee bone back into its socket. That hurt quite a bit, and my mom and brother were wigging out as well.

So I've been limping around, and since I got a knee brace from the doctor's office, I don't really need crutches any more. And the Thursday before the "knee incident," I got stitches taken out of my head. This kid at my school threw a pencil, and it hit my forehead. The pencil popped out, but the lead stayed in. It would be a permanent tatoo of dark gray inside my forehead for the rest of my life. So I went to a plastic surgeon and had it cut out, and sealed up with stitches.

Anyway...I think this has been a pretty quick update, and I should most likely get to work on my homework, before I go to sleep and it doesn't get done.

Love you all!

sickness never was happiness...

So... my mom and brother have both had soar throats and coughs. And I was happy not to have caught one, until yesterday morning. I woke up with an aching throat, and sometimes I cough. I also seem to have a little congestion, and It's very painful. I've been extra tired lately, so I slept through my alarm, and then I had to tell my ride to seminary that I wasn't going today. So... now I have to get ready for school.

Anyway.... I gotta go. Bye!

entertainment

I recently made a video with my brother, edited it and posted it on youtube. If you want to go watch it, maybe even rate it/comment it. (that'd be really nice of you. ^_^) ... here's the link for it:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=6ZbTCpJ10nA

Many friends of mine have watched it, and I've only had 1 bad review. All of the others are great, and I'm glad most of my friends have liked it. It's a joke video about learning how to "sing well" in "3 easy steps." The "training" we go through has nothing to do with singing. And there are even funny bloopers at the end.

It was extremely fun to make, and I hope to make more soon. Sometimes I think that I'd like to be in the movie business someday. I love to film, act, and edit... it's very amusing to go through the long process and see how it turns out in the end.

Today... My mom made a tasty breakfast of Biscuts and Gravy. I'd never had it before, but I loved it, and It was Aubrey's request. I also got a haircut, it's very nice. I love it, since last time I went to the hair place, they fried some of the ends. I'm glad that it looks nice and not fried anymore.

After my haircut, I drove back to my place and rode down to the airport to drop off my cousin Aubrey. We hugged her, and wished her a safe flight before driving off to return back to my house as quickly as possible so we wouldn't be late for a football game.

I also went to a friend of my families' house today to watch a BYU vs. Utah Football game. I ate tacos, chips with guacamole, and cookies and it was all so wonderfully put together. It was very delicious, and their home is a very comfortable setting, it's very nice.

Anyway... I was happy that our team (BYU) won a very close game. It was very thrilling to watch, and I normally don't watch football games.

After the game, my dad drove us to his friends' ice cream store. It was so cool! It had couches in the store, they were very comfortable, it was like a little lounge. The paint on the walls blended and made it a cozy environment. It had really good ice cream, and the whole place was just really enjoyable.

My dad even saw his friend, and we talked to him while eating ice cream on the sofa's. Then we came home, and now my mom's going to take me shopping! Sounds like fun, and hopefully I can get some warm jackets to go with this freezing weather.

See ya!

Thank you, Thanksgiving

I'm very happy right now, since this is the first big break from school in my sophmore year in high school. I got to sleep in, and soon I will take a shower, clean my room... etc. Then, at 3 we will leave to pick up my cousin Aubrey at the airport. =]

I'm excited for tomorrow, although I know it will be a big day, and most likely a long one, but I'm still looking forward to it.

Oh... my grandma sent me a fun little quiz to test my turkey knowledge. I didn't do too well on it, but my dad pretty much aced it. You should give it a try. It's pretty fun.
Here's the link: http://home.aristotle.net/thanksgiving/trivia.asp

Well, since I have so much to do, and I need to stop procrastinating, I should probably get off of the computer soon.

See ya!

"Go Dog Go!"

So... the book "Go Dog Go" by P.D. Eastman, is about a bunch of dogs that can drive. And they drive to all kinds of places. Yep....pretty cool, I guess.
But what the whole point of this is....I got my license yesterday (November 13, 2007), and I can now officially drive w/o a legal guardian over the age of 21 in the car. =]
So... some of my friends ask me "how many phone books do you have to sit on to see over the wheel?" The answer is...none. First of all, I'm not that short. Second of all, technology is great and has made cars better than they used to be.
My friends all expect me to be able to drive them places such as the mall now, but I have to explain first of all, that I can only drive one friend at a time in the car for my first 6 months with my license. And second of all, I don't have my own car, and I also am not a personal chauffeur.

So...with all of this excitement, I drove myself to piano lessons yesterday, and my brother wanted to come along for the ride. So Christopher came with me to piano lessons just so he could be with me in the car while I'm driving. That was an extremely fun experience, and I'm glad he decided to join me. =]

Well... since I have much homework to do, I should probably get off of the computer and do it.

Testing, testing, 1..2...3....

If you're wondering about the title, I had 3 tests today, all in a row. Talk about stress!
I had to finish a writing prompt for English.
Then I had a math test on factoring perfect square trinomials, and adding to make perfect square trinomials.
And then I had a spanish test.

So... I'm pretty tired. And I have to finish a History review for a History test tomorrow.
I'm just glad that I already took my Biology test. =]
What a relief!

So... on another note, I'm pretty much excited about this saturday. For two reasons:
1. I will be hanging out with the Laurels/Priests (16-18 year old girls and boys at my church) And I get to go boating, etc. w/ them.
2. I will complete my last driving hour (1 hr. driving, 1 hr. observing) for driving school from 8-10 am that day. Which means I can go to DPS and get my license!

Speaking of driving, I have my 2nd-to-last driving hour today! I will go from 8-10 pm and then come home and either do homework, or go to sleep.

Well... my mom's calling me in for a smoothie, and my brother's about to eat it. SO..... Goodbye!

Busy as a Bee

I guess you could say that school is making me extremely busy. And that's why I haven't had time to post anything. But anyway... seminary's really fun, and school's okay. I've had a ton of migraines in a row this week. I had 5 in a total of 7 days, (1 week).

Sorry to my mom for not updating as much as you'd like for me to. I'll try to update more as I go on myspace and facebook for my freetime. Well... I have a huge math test tomorrow, and the review is pretty long. I better get to work!

Thanks, and goodbye!

Some Summer Fun

Last monday, I went to Elich Gardens (Six Flags in Colorado) and Kasey (my cousin who is pretty close in age w/ me and is one of my good buddies), Christopher, Courtney (another cousin who's Christopher's age), Grandma, Grandpa, and my Dad joined me. It was a blast and I was actually brave that day. I went on quite a few rides that I would never have gone on before. It was quite amazing and I had a blast. I was so glad that Grandma and Grandpa took us there, also because Grandma always is prepared. She brought a lunch and drinks and she also brought swimming clothes, and clothes to change into. After that, Dad, Courtney, and Christopher dropped me and Kasey off at her house to spend the night there where we joined Corrie (one of Kasey's good friends, who I'm good friends with now).

Kim, (one of Kasey and Courtney's parent's good friends) woke Kasey, Corrie, and me up early that morning to head down to the church so we could head off to camp. (Girl's Camp) I joined my two Aunts, my cousin Kasey, and my new friend Corrie, along w/ 147 other girls at camp. We walked around 5 to 10 miles each day and had 3 meals a day. It was hot so we drank tons and tons of water to stay healthy and hydrated. We slept in tents on cots and there were many little creatures (and not so little ones) that visited us in the night-time. Since we are in Colorado, we camped in the mountains... which means a few things.
1. Bears
Black Bears kept joining us in our campsites during the night. On Tuesday night, (my first night there) I woke up at 3 a.m. to the sound of one of the little first-years shouting at the bear to leave. She is quite a shy young girl, so I thought it might be someone else since the young woman who was yelling at the bear had such an attitude. I was very proud to sleep about 3 or 4 tents down from her, with one of her older sisters' as my tent-partner. The bear defanetly didn't come back again that night, although it did join us plenty the next few nights. I heard that one of the girls at camp woke up to experience a baby cub sniffing her hair on the very first night. The bears also broke into a few cars and got a ton of sweets.
2. Chipmunks
Chipmunks were everywhere! They even joined a few of my new friends in their tent on the first night. They crawled up Emma's leg because she had spilt some food on her lap. I liked the little chipmunks though, for some reason they comforted me. On the last day, Kasey, Corrie, and I were examaning a few and there was a fat one, and a skinny one. We named the fat one Chip, and the skinny one Dale. We could tell every time they came by us, because they each had a certain look, and a very distinct personality.
3. Actual Rock Climing
I got to climb up real mountain rocks on our rock-climbing event. Even though I was somewhat scared, I climbed to the top and had a blast. When I was coming down, I accidentally scraped my hand on some of the rocks and started to bleed, but I just called the scrapes my battle-scars. I also got to watch my Aunt Brenda and Aunt Debbie climb up some more difficult courses. They were much more experienced and had a blast. They were some of the camp leaders up there, in fact... my Aunt Debbie was the camp president for that week and she was the one who had invited me to come w/ them.
4. Just a great time
I had so many more activities that filled my days and they were all extremely fun. Including Conservation, it was where we did kind of a service-project for the camp we stayed at. We helped pick up and haul heavy logs to a truck where they took them somewhere to be used for the camp. They use all of their own wood, so that made me appreciate that we were directly helping the camp. It was also the very first time that sweat trickled down my face, I used to think only boys' sweat would slide down and that mine would just stay at the top of my face, but I proved myself wrong that day. I also got to shoot rifles, I missed the target every time... but I was somewhat glad to find out that I wasn't as bad as some other girls. One of the girls in the group right before me had shot a chipmunk and killed it, I feel bad for both of them... poor chipmunk. But I can say that in Archery I was quite skilled, since on one of my very first tries I hit the bull's eye. I also learned a few new dances, one of them, my cousin Kasey and I showed to my dad the day after we got back from camp. I'm not quite sure what he thought of it, but by the look on his face.. he was amuzed.

Yesterday, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Debbie, Kasey, Christopher, Courtney, Aly, Michael, and I went to the aquarium. (Aly and Michael are also some cousins of mine) We had a blast, and I got to pet a few stingrays. We also got to see the people feed the sharks, and they got up close to the tank so we could see the dead fish-heads sticking out of their sharp mouths.

Tonight, My Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Mike are bringing all of their family to Cinzettis, where Grandma, Grandpa, Christopher, and I will meet up with them for a fun buffet of food. They have some delicious Ittalian food and it's an all-you-can-eat buffet.

This weekend, all of the people that I listed as going to Cinzettis, will be going to Wyoming to camp at a place called Glendo. There's a great campsite there around a lake, and by the lake there are some cliffs. We're going to go kneeboarding, tubing...etc. in the water, and out of the water, we will go up the cliffs, and jump off of them into the lake. Some of them I've heard are quite high up.

Next week, we are going to have a few more activities planned also before we leave. Although I'm not looking forward to leaving and going back to school... it will be nice to be back home and with my family and birdies, room, and friends.

Well... since I'm pretty sure that my mom is one of the very.... VERY few readers of my blog (which I don't blame people for not reading) I just wanted to say "hi", "bye" and "I love you!"

♥Lindsey♥

Colorado is...

m-azing (like the candy bar). This post is for my wonderful mom, and I just wanted to say "hi." My little brother is getting sort of homesick, so I'm trying to keep him going w/ fun activities and other thoughts. oh... well, Grandma is kicking us off of the computer. So I'm going to post another blog later. Love you mom!

Thinking of Ideas...

I'm trying to come up with ideas for a good short film. I'm stumped... I guess I have writers' block. I'm kind of bored right now. Oh well... In a way, I'm not. I'm thinking of ideas for my short video/movie thing... Wish me luck, okay? :D Thanks!

Recent Events

The past two weeks, I've been gone. In fact, I just got home at about 2 pm today. Last week, I went to a Mormon camp for boys and girls called efy (especially for youth). It was wonderful, and I had a blast, being my 3rd year to go to that particular camp. My best friend Mindi accompanied me there, and we had the time of our lives. We even both picked up a c.o.w. (Crush of the week). They were all pretty cute might I add. This week, I went to Girls' Camp (also a Mormon camp, just without the boys). It was incredible! I loved it, and made a bunch of new friends, and strengthened old friendships too. I was exhausted this whole week, but it was worth it. It was sad leaving this morning, as well as nice to be home again. Sadly, soon after I got home... my dad left for the airport to leave for Colorado. It's hard to believe this, but in about 13 days, on July 26... I will be 16! I'm super excited to turn 16, for many reasons... such as being able to date, being able to drive w/ a license (once I finish my driving hours), and just being that age is exciting. Well, I'm waiting for my mom to come watch a chick-flick with me right now, So... I'm going to go. Bye!

So...

This summer has been really great so far. In fact, this Tuesday, I got my braces off. I have two retainers now, and the top on is zebra-stripes and the white stripes glow in the dark. It's pretty awesome! :D I'm so happy!
Late on Friday night, Mindi (my best friend from Colorado) will be arriving! We are both super excited for her to come out here. This will be her second time to visit me in Texas, but her first time alone. I'm counting down the days on my calender.
Tomorrow, is my dad's birthday! I won't say what age, but I'm excited for it. My mom bought him a plane ticket to fly out w/ my brother and me on July 28. We will be going to Colorado that week to spend time w/ family and friends.
I'm also excited because this is my last week of summer school. I had to retake the Chemistry part of Integrated Physics and Chemistry. I think it's a very challenging subject.
Well.... I should probably get to sleep really soon.

Sleepy

Last night, Brooks, Christopher, and I hung out. We jumped on the tramp, hit rocks w/ hammers, and told scary stories. So I had to watch a lot of funny cartoons to get it off my mind before I could sleep again. Well, I'm really tired, and I have to make a cute hat for my dear madré. Ha ha... cool accent right? It's amazing. well... i gtg. Bye!

1 fish 2 fish, red fish blue fish

Yesterday at the Luau, Christopher brought home two little goldfish. They had been placed in extremely cold water though, so one of them died before he got to name it. The other one, he named Tiki, and it's really pretty. He gave it to Brooks, our really good friend, and next door neighbor. He has an aquarium, and so Christopher thinks that he can take much better care of Tiki than he can. We feel really bad though, because when we went over to his house to drop off the little goldfish, Brooks was still sound asleep, and his dad tried to wake him up. It didn't work, so I felt better that we didn't wake him up.
